Nothing much to do here. At the end of the route, search the tree that's by itself for an item. Enter the building, and upstairs is another one of Prof. Oak's aides. If you caught 30 or more kinds of Pokémon, he gives you an Itemfinder which allows you to find hidden items. Head to Cerulean City and head east to Route 9.
