Where can you get Pokemons at their best level, close to or ready for evolution ? Use the following six pages to help you out.
Instruction:
No# : The Pokemon ID number. This is universal for any Pokemon version or language.
Name : The name of the Pokemon, Duh !
Best Found Area : The best areas, meaning where you can get them at their best level.
Note: I did not include any of the evolve forms cause I believe that it's better to make a Pokemon evolve. Anyhow, with the exception of a few, most of them are ready or close from being ready to evolve.
Level : The actual level that you should be on the lookout for.
Note: When you see ??, it's because this is a Pokemon that you can only obtain by trading with someone in the game. The level will be the same has the Pokemon that you've traded. So for the Pokemon that you capture for the soul purpose of trading, get them at a high level.
Version : In which version, Red or Blue, should you be trying to capture them.
Note: When I wrote just Red or just Blue, it doesn't always mean that it's not available in the other version. It's basically a question of rarity. If you play the Blue version, Nidoran female is more common than Nidoran male and vise versa for the Red version. It's also a question of level. When a Pokemon is more common in a version, chances are that you can get it at a higher level. Read the "Rules" page in order to know how to change Pokemon version.
Note: I recommend catching Pikachu in the Viridian Forest. Why ? Well it's not just because it's PIKACHU, but because it's the only electric Pokemon that you'll se before the Power Plant, unless you get a Jolteon but it still won't have any electric attacks to begin with. Electric Pokemon are one of the most useful types you can get. With the exception of Ground and/or Rock, there's nothing a high level electric Pokemon can't defeat.
