Hint: Tackle after play:
After each play you can tackle someone. If you tackle
the opposing team's players or coach you might get a penalty.
You can also tackle the boards, and if you do you will be launched
over.
Evansports.
After a touchdown, kickoff, or just before the play selection
screen appears, you can tackle an opponent without getting called
for a penalty. You can do this on defense or offense.
Olga and Shin-Shoo Chang.
Hint: Onside kick recovery:
Turn off penalties at the game play settings menu.
When kicking off, select the play "Onside Kick". Kick
the ball with a power of 10. Your opponent will not be able to
recover, and you will not get called for Illegal Procedure. As
long as you do not turn the ball over, you can stay on offense
the entire game and shut the other team out.
Total Pyro.
Hint: Helmet to helmet:
Before each game two of the home team's players will
do helmet to helmet.
Evansports.
Hint: Get to line of scrimmage faster:
After selecting your play, hold A to get to
the line of scrimmage faster. This is useful if you use a hurry-up
offense at the end of the game.
Old Pappy.
Hint: More accurate kicks:
When kicking, try and keep the Right Analog-stick
straight when going from down to up. This allows for a more accurate
kick instead of one that may end up out of bounds. This is especially
helpful when going for key field goals.
Olga and Shin-Shoo Chang.
Hint: Recommended offense:
In order to create more open passes you should try
and set "picks" for your other receivers in order to
get them wide open. You can do this by controlling a wide receiver
yourself and putting a pick on a defender; or you can set a crosses,
posts, curls, or flys by hot-routing other receivers near by.
This usually works, and often has good results if you set the
picks correctly. This is especially helpful when in need of a
first down, near the endzone, or for a conversion.
Irene and Arthur.
Hint: Hurry Up offense:
While you are in a Hurry Up offense, during or after
the play, you will dive over the wall. You will not be able to
get in a Hurry Up offense and will probably have to call a timeout.
The Pink Panther.
Hint: Recommended defense:
If you control one of your linemen and hold Left
Analog-stick Down before the snap, you will get a better
jump on trying to get to the quarterback or fullback.
Irene and Arthur.
If you want to prevent the deep pass or the run, the play you
should use is deep pass. This is useful when the other team is
inside their own ten on forth down and goes for it.
