The order of upgrades from least to greatest is: Alpha, Beta, and Gold.

Make sure to upgrade your Health and Energy to 300. This will make the final battle much easier.

Hint: Defeating the Fcon monster:
Note: This is the final Boss in Digitizing Beam. Go for the health downloading units. Charge up to full and run to energy and charge up to the maximum. Use the LOL subroutine (Cyber Sniper Riffle), aim for his head, and just fire away. Ignore the fact that he is damaging you because you will stop about 75% of his attacks. You will not die before you derezz him. During the second and third battles, repeat this strategy and you will succeed. Save the game as soon as the matches begin in case you die by falling off the stage.

This makes it easier to complete the game. Have these subroutines in Gold: Primitive Charge, Power Block, LOL, Virus Scan, Profiler, and SubMask.
